About Stepan

Stepan has been with Itransition for over 11 years, first joining the company as a Project Manager and advancing to the position of the Head of IoT Center of Excellence in 2023. At the moment, he’s Itransition’s key authority for IoT strategy and service delivery, making sure that all our IoT initiatives are aligned with client’s objectives and industry best practices. 

Stepan establishes the vision for Itransition’s IoT practice, developing the company’s multi-year roadmap for its development and identifying new IoT-enabled business opportunities. He also manages our IoT CoE’s operation, defining standards and methodologies for service delivery and overseeing the creation of reusable assets, as well as mentoring the community of IoT practitioners across the organization. Moreover, he supervises all Itransition’s IoT initiatives and projects, working closely with clients’ stakeholders to define tailored IoT strategies and deliver scalable, secure and future-proof IoT ecosystems.

Examples of Stepan’s recent projects include the following:

  • Development of an Asset Performance Management (APM) system for centralized control and intelligent management of the client’s existing HVAC infrastructure using Zigbee sensors and with AI/ML capabilities for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
  • Consulting and audit services for the existing IoT system to identify gaps related to cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance, as well as providing actionable recommendations for future system improvements in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
  • Creation of a private cloud platform for hosting and managing IoT solutions. The platform includes secure device onboarding and data pipelines, capabilities for scalable telemetry processing, and tools for device lifecycle management.

As a forward-looking leader, Stepan shapes our IoT CoE’s innovation agenda by driving the adoption of emerging technologies that can complement IoT solutions. By helping our specialists harness AI and machine learning, edge computing, and blockchain technologies, he ensures the delivery of greater value and competitive advantage to Itransition’s clients.
