In view of their expansion to Australia, the customer needed business process management solutions to support the operation of a store selling custom-made and off-the-shelf footwear. We implemented an Odoo-based ERP platform and a B2B website, aligned with local financial regulations, to facilitate a wide range of both customer-facing and back-office operations.
The customer is an APAC-based manufacturer and distributor that offers a broad range of innovative footwear and orthotic products for improving foot health. They serve healthcare providers and orthopedic clinics, designing products to address medical and therapeutic needs of their customers.

The customer was launching a new company in Australia to sell both custom-made and off-the-shelf footwear in the region. To support the expansion, they required a robust and flexible ERP platform for managing core business functions, including product and warehouse management, accounting, customer and supplier relationships, and end-to-end sales and order processing. They also needed a dedicated B2B website to support ordering workflows and interactive customer experiences.
We delivered an Odoo-based ERP solution, configuring and customizing the platform to support the customer’s online selling, product and order management, warehouse management, accounting, financial reporting, and customer relationship management operations, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
Our team worked closely with the customer to identify and prioritize business goals, operational challenges, and solutions’ requirements. While the client initially considered using their existing multi-system setup, our analysis showed that Odoo could meet most of their needs out of the box or with minimal customizations, while easily integrating with third-party plugins or custom modules to expand its native capabilities. This approach would also simplify software maintenance and support while reducing operational overhead. Eventually, we demonstrated this approach and its benefits by delivering a tailored Odoo demo.
We configured an Odoo-powered website to support B2B sales, using a custom theme for its user interface. The platform allows users to browse the product catalog, place orders, and choose delivery and payment options to complete the checkout. To enhance user engagement and self-service capabilities, we implemented user accounts and configured a live chat to provide real-time customer support around the clock.
To fully support the required B2B workflows, we implemented the following customizations and third-party module integrations from Odoo Apps Store:
We set up product management workflows, including the import of product data, images, and pricelists from various suppliers originally stored in multiple Excel files and configuration of product variants and attributes. Our team also enabled 3D image uploads and added a custom configurator to link images with products without uploading visuals for each product variant, helping save storage and simplify product management. Additionally, we cleaned duplicate and irrelevant records and resolved discrepancies in stock levels and pricing data.
Itransition’s team configured and customized Odoo’s sales workflows for both off-the-shelf and custom products, ensuring that the sale of each product category is properly handled and the system supports additional fields, attachments, and logic specific to custom orders:
We set up effective warehouse management using a combination of default configurations, customizations, and process automation rules to enable:
Our team worked closely with the customer’s financial advisor to align ERP accounting workflows with Australian financial regulations using standard Odoo features. For this, we connected the customer’s bank and Stripe accounts to Odoo to automate bank statements and transaction data import. We also configured the chart of accounts and fiscal positions and enabled custom tax calculation rules for different contractors. Finally, we set up fixed asset management to simplify asset tracking and depreciation calculation.
We configured real-time sales dashboards with insights into the company’s key financial metrics, including sales volume, net revenue, average order value, category-level performance, and profit margin analysis. We also enabled sales forecasting by implementing a linear trend model for optimistic and pessimistic projections and set up dashboards to compare actual sales performance to forecasted results.
To support client relationship management, we set up a CRM module. We also imported existing contact data into the system, enabling the client to link contacts directly to sales orders and communication threads, which simplified opportunities management, client communication, and interactions tracking.
Itransition delivered a comprehensive Odoo-based ERP solution and a modern ecommerce platform that enable end-to-end management of key business functions and fully comply with Australian financial regulations, helping the customer:
