Itransition wins Most Innovative Big Data and Analytics Solution at the Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Awards UK 2026

Itransition has won in the Most Innovative Big Data and Analytics Solution category at the 2026 Manufacturing Supplier Innovation Awards UK. The award recognises a Power BI dashboard the company built for an automotive manufacturer to turn fragmented operational data into a single, decision-ready view of the production floor.

The judged entry addressed a problem familiar to most discrete manufacturers: operational data existed across several systems but was inconsistent and hard to use in real time. Frontline teams, managers, and leadership often worked from different reports with different logic behind the numbers, which slowed decisions and made them harder to trust.

Rather than building one overloaded interface, Itransition designed a focused set of dashboards around real operational questions, each tied to the people who act on it:

• Master Dashboard — production status, downtime, energy use, and CO2 indicators for operators and shift supervisors.
• Key Indicators Board — output, defects, consumption, and bottlenecks for production managers.
• Robot Performance and Dynamics — throughput, utilisation, repeated downtime, and anomaly patterns for engineering and maintenance.
• Resources, Cost and Emissions — resource use, cost drivers, and environmental impact in one place for operations, finance, and sustainability teams.

The work behind the interface mattered as much as the design. Itransition connected and consolidated inputs from production systems, robot and machine monitoring, downtime records, material usage, energy, and emissions data, then normalised KPIs and aligned reporting logic so every team works from the same definitions and the same numbers over time. Instead of maintaining many disconnected reports, the client now runs a smaller, clearer environment built around three questions: what needs attention now, where losses are occurring today, and whether operations are staying within cost and emissions targets.

The result supports proactive action rather than retrospective reporting. Operators reach what they need quickly, managers drill into anomalies before problems escalate, and leadership relies on a consistent operational picture across the business. While delivered in automotive manufacturing, the model transfers readily to other discrete manufacturers running complex, robotised production lines under rising efficiency and sustainability pressures.
