The challenge

To manage their administrative workflows and care and financial management operations, the customer used multiple disconnected tools that didn’t provide the required efficiency and advanced scheduling functionality. Confirming that no existing platform could fully meet their needs—a common industry challenge—they decided to create an all-in-one solution to streamline workflows for their own care workers and potentially benefit other companies in the sector. The company also prioritized making the solution cost-effective and quick to deploy.

Platform tech stack & architecture

Developed with .NET and React and hosted on Microsoft Azure, the platform features a scalable, multi-tenant architecture and dedicated databases to ensure care providers’ data segregation and support their future growth. The platform also provides automated onboarding, enabling care providers to get started quickly and customize a wide range of platform settings to meet their needs.

    The platform supports end-to-and care visit management through flexible calendars, smart and multi-criteria caregiver assignment, patient and caregiver absence handling, mileage calculation for caregiver routes, and geolocation tracking.
  • Care management
    The platform enables efficient coordination of patient care with a family portal for patient relatives and features for managing patient profiles, assessments, care plans, tasks, medications, rehabilitation goals, exclusions, MAR charts, body map annotations, alerts, and residential care scheduling.
  • Care worker management
    The system enables full-cycle workforce management, including onboarding, contract management, qualification validation and tracking, training, availability, and attendance tracking.
  • Payroll & invoicing management
    The platform handles payment processing, care billing, payroll calculation, variable pay rates management, and invoice and wage sheet generation.
  • Reporting & analytics
    The platform offers care report management with pre-defined reports and custom report builder, KPI dashboards, and in-platform visualization and report export capabilities.
  • Communication & messaging
    The system provides various communication tools and features, including messaging, file sharing, SMS/email, and push notifications.
System configuration capabilities

The system enables tags, contact types, and task templates customization, multi-region care management, compliance and policy management, user authorization, and activity tracking and audit logging.

Mobile app for caregivers

We developed a user-friendly cross-platform application that empowers caregivers to manage their daily tasks on the go, including viewing their schedules and patient visit details, GPS-based visit check-in and check-out and location verification, tracking task completion, and reporting incidents from the patient’s home.

Platform regulatory compliance

To ensure the platform met the requirements of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, UK government-backed frameworks helping organizations protect against common cyber threats, we followed a two-stage process. First, we helped the customer complete self-assessment to verify that key security controls were in place, such as secure system configurations, access restrictions, malware protection, and regular updates. Next, we provided support during the platform’s independent technical assessment to achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification. These certifications strengthened the platform’s credibility and ensured it met the cybersecurity expectations of care providers and regulators.
