Ilya Katlinsky
IoT Solutions Architect
I lead the delivery of IoT solutions from concept to full-scale deployment, ensuring that they align with industry standards and deliver tangible value.
About Ilya
Ilya joined Itransition in 2011 as a Java developer and has been a solutions architect since 2019, mostly specializing in IoT solutions. Ilya works closely with our clients, supporting them through every stage of their IoT project lifecycles, from discovery to full-scale deployment and post-launch optimization.
He translates clients’ needs and pain points into functional and non-functional requirements for IoT solutions and designs IoT system architectures based on them. Ilya also assists with the selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, protocols, and frameworks for IoT implementation, drawing on his comprehensive knowledge of the evolving IoT market, proven architectural practices, and the latest advancements in connectivity and data processing.
Ilya takes part in most Itransition’s IoT projects, overseeing teams of IoT engineers, data analysts, and other experts as they create and launch the solution to the target environment. Moreover, he makes sure that delivered IoT solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, seamlessly integrate with clients’ IT ecosystems, and adhere to best practices for long-term maintainability and scalability.
Examples of Ilya’s recent projects include the following:
- Development of an ESP32-based air quality monitoring system that features secure cloud communication, optimised device power consumption, and robust data ingestion and alerting logic for real-time air quality insights.
- Creation of a private cloud platform for hosting and managing IoT solutions. The platform is equipped with secure device onboarding and data pipelines, capabilities for scalable telemetry processing, and device lifecycle management tools.
- Development of a SaaS insurance platform for claim and policy management with IoT-driven automation for claim validation, connected sensors for real-time incident tracking, and backend scalability features to handle telemetry-enriched workflows.
As a forward-looking IoT project leader, Ilya keeps track of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, edge computing, and blockchain, to uncover new opportunities for enhancing IoT architectures and delivering greater value to clients.
