Their platform ecosystem spans mobile, web, microservices, and API-driven applications requiring continuous automation, scalable testing infrastructure, and high reliability across distributed environments. The Role: We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build the core test automation framework that underpins our Customer’s gaming application portfolio. In this role, you will architect the foundational automation engine, API layers, and backend services, creating the core framework that will be enhanced with integrated AI agents (developed by AI Agent Engineers) and leveraged by Senior/Middle Automation QA Engineers to test individual games.

Requirements
- Programming Languages: Solid expertise in Java, familiar with the modern language features (records, sealed types, pattern matching, virtual threads). The codebase targets Java 25
- Framework & API Design: Ability to design public APIs and plugin SPIs consumed by other teams, with a knowledge of binary compatibility, deprecation practice, etc.
- Concurrency & Reliability: Solid understanding of multithreading, timeouts, cancellation and interruption
- Backend & Services: Knowledge of Spring Boot, background job scheduling, retry and idempotency strategies, and safe allocation of a limited pool of shared resources
- Build & Release Tooling: Strong understanding of multi-module Gradle (version catalogs, BOMs, toolchains), publishing to an internal artifact repository (Artifactory or similar), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Proficiency in Git/Gitflow
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to have
- Architecture & Operations: Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, New Relic)
- Device Infrastructure: Experience with device farms or a self-managed device lab (HeadSpin, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs), covering session lifecycle, port forwarding and unreliable hardware
- Domain & Industry Experience: Experience working within a game development environment or the mobile gaming industry, including reading C# and automating game UIs that expose no native element tree
- Mobile Automation: Ability to design and execute automated tests for native mobile applications (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso) across iOS and Android, on both real devices and simulators
Responsibilities
- Core Framework Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain the underlying core test automation engine and public/plugin APIs in Java 25
- Backend & Infrastructure Orchestration: Develop resilient Spring Boot microservices, job scheduling, and safe resource allocation pools to manage test execution environments
- Build & CI/CD Tooling: Configure and maintain multi-module Gradle builds, internal artifact publishing, and automated deployment pipelines
- Cross-Team Enablement: Provide stable, well-designed APIs and extension points for AI Agent Developers and Automation QA Engineers building game-specific automated tests
