Match Messenger: Advanced Mobile and Social Networking
Advanced Mobile and Social Networking Capabilities
- Automated dating partner matching
- Advanced location-range search feature
- Facebook and Twitter integration
Many people all over the world dream of finding a perfect life partner. But the match criteria can vary significantly. Moreover, sometimes personal expectations can change depending on external conditions and even current mood state.
With this in mind, a US-based IT company turned to Itransition to craft a social networking solution that could provide a possibility of finding friends and dating partners based on the desired criteria. The solution also was to be adapted for usage on mobile and electronic devices like iPhone and iPad enabling users to conveniently search for potential friendship or dating candidates.
The business idea behind the MatchMessenger application was capitalizing on the additional services and offerings the users might pick up along the way through an extended subscription account.
Itransition was selected as a development partner thanks to proven knowledge and extensive experience in mobile application development. The main features of the solution are:
The major challenge was designing and implementing a highly intelligent automated search engine for the social network. This feature would allow users to see and identify the most suitable matches according to the entered criteria, including specific location. Itransition’s iOS development team implemented a cutting-edge technology for extracting the refreshed data from the server part with JSON protocol.
The feature of location-dependent search results makes it possible to find people in a selected number of places or in the nearby area. Google location API was integrated to link the search to a specific area and update the search results along with the location changes.
Chat was the core functionality that was initially required in the MatchMessenger network. Itransition designed a user-friendly and intuitive interface that facilitated user communication and networking. A special “wink” feature supporting smileys makes the app attractive from the functional and design standpoint.
To simplify the login process, the OAuth technology framework and Facebook/Twitter Login API were added enabling the users to sign in using their Facebook or Twitter accounts. The application also supports posting to one’s Facebook wall and sending tweets.
Itransition’s professional GUI design team created a functionally outstanding and highly intuitive graphic user interface. They also customized elements from the Cocoa Touch and UIKit frameworks to provide a really compelling and easy-to-understand UI.
Enthusiastic feedback from the dating social network subscribers testifies MatchMessenger is an interactive and intelligent solution for finding friends and dating partners. iPhone owners can search automatically for other users within the dating network according to the previously entered criteria. There is no more need to update the wish list each time they log in, as the application is able to do a background search for the best matches and to notify users as soon as the proper person is found nearby.
