The web portal was developed from scratch using open source Liferay content management system and integrated with the information system of the Customer.
Background
The Customer, a leading Russian telecom company, addressed Itransition through one of our partners in Moscow. They needed a web portal that would be integrated with their Information System. An agreement was signed after an estimate, when we collected user requirements and created functional documentation for the project.
Solution
The web portal incorporates three parts:
- Static part (about company, services, press room, map of the telecommunications network, portfolio, etc.);
- Dynamic part (news, blogs, FAQ, RSS);
- Interactive part (online forms).
After users have registered in the customer network through the web portal, they start receiving various telecom services. Additional functionality, such as social networks is also available, allowing customers to comment on news and blog posts.
Result
Two beta versions of the portal were delivered during one month of development. It is expected to be deployed live in the nearest future; after that the involvement of Itransition in the project will be limited to support and maintenance.
System Highlights
- Static, dynamic, and interactive pages
