The customer is a European provider of Backup of Exchange Data to disk/Backup over IP solutions.

The project idea was based on the following business model: backup service
offer should include hardware connected with the local network and in-built software components. 2 versions of appliances were designed: a backup appliance and a storage appliance.

To reduce support costs the software runs from flash-module which can be easily built into the appliance or removed by a support-manager on the production/support phase. A User can easily change the system settings with administration web-tool.

The customer's exchange backup solutions became popular across Europe because of substantial product advantages and effective and efficient marketing strategy.
