The customer needed to have the solution that would allow creating medical advice for a patient, storing drug information, processing interactions, using international standards of pharmaceutical object classifications. New system users (doctors, patients, consultants, pharmacists, medical papers writers, etc) work separately but the results are consolidated and synchronized in one system for medical analysis.

The software includes international classifications of medical objects (such as ICD-10, ATC, etc.) and the most useful features for medical advice generation. On the other hand, Itransition design team created a unique clear design that does not puzzle the end-user.

The system features the following modules

  • Patient module allows a patient to view his medical history and find information in the knowledge base;
  • Medical Advice module allows medical staff to manage a patient’s data, and generate medical advice according to patient data;
  • Paper Creation module allows creating medical papers for publishing (in compliance with demands to paper design);
  • Content Management module contains two databases with medical info, allows importing data either from a file or from an external database;
  • Web Crawling module allows scheduled Internet crawling (with either Google API or RSS) for keywords and storing acquired information.
  • Pharmacy module allows pharmacy staff to manage a patient’s data (such as prescribed medicines) collaborating with Geriatric Homes; moreover the module contains the functionality for working with “Baxter” Unit Dose machine;

  • Offline tool is an offline module that allows pharmacy workers to manage patients offline and synchronize the changes with the main server; it also allows to keep working even in case of bad internet connection or problems with main server accessibility.

DIMS application is a web-based .NET application that uses two database types: MS SQL and dBase IV; and has an ability to import data from other databases (e.g. MySQL). The application runs under Windows 2003 Server with Internet Information Services 6.0
