The Product is a portal where people can create their own communities or join the already existed ones. Additionally, it provides access to some educational services, offered by the Customer or their partners. The portal supports integration with external applications (via LDAP user database and XML services).

The Customer – a global media hosting provider from the USA needed software to manage their huge media metadata. They contacted Itransition with a request to implement a platform for building media content sites, that would provide streaming network and creating many different media content sites.

The Customer needed a business community platform for academic institutions, professional associations and alumni networks. The key of the project is that it allows delivering relevant content to the users in large communities (which may have sub-communities or smaller groups within them).
