Content Migration Tool

Based on our vast experience, best practices methodology and proven toolset we have developed multiplatform content exchange technology . It is an internal ad-hoc content exchange framework that enables quick, consistent and cost-effective data transfer to IBM FileNet P8 or MS SharePoint systems with minimal user impact and project risk.

The framework comprises five main components:

1. Reading Threads Pool
2. Writing Threads Pool
3. Incoming and Outgoing Connectors
4. Content
5. Attributes Transformation Engines.

The framework will guide the migration procedure within 3 simple phases.

Phase 1. Analysis and Assessment
During the analysis phase source and target content management systems are identified, as well as API to access both systems.

Phase 2. Configuration
The framework content and attributes transformation engines are provided with a set of predefined migration rules and preferences, which may only require subtle adjustments with no need to write a single line of code. Apart from that, transformation engine is totally open to customization due to the provided API and thus will instantly satisfy upcoming business needs on support and maintenance stage.

Phase 3. Migration
The speed of the migration depends on the amount (and type) of content and resources available (CPU time, memory, network). Applied thread-based model allows the framework to take the most of the resources available and can be scaled to a set of servers connected into a single cluster to achieve even higher performance ensuring the maximal speed of the transition.
