The customer needed to develop a resource editor for embedded applications used for Digital Home TV. The resource editor would be translating the system content into many languages. The application would be a minor but very important component in a large multilanguage system and the customer hoped to make the process of translating the content faster and more convenient for translators.

The project was initiated with the customer, leading provider of conferencing services (audio, video, web) across the globe, requesting to develop a web-based content management system for "extranets" – sites used to present its services and sign-up forms to its customers. Genesys manages hundreds of extranet sites, and the possibility to easily create new and maintain existing ones was very important. The system comprises several modules which are accessible through the same web-based interface.

Itransition developed a home entertainment center based on “barebone” minicomputer connected to TV. The software provides users with a wide range of multimedia functions, which are accessed by simple button push on their TV remote control. During the project our Itransition software specialists developed customized Linux distribution, targeted at multiple multimedia functions support. Media center box can be connected to a local home network.
